Fragrance notes

A fragrance is built from notes: the raw materials a perfumer chooses and the order in which you meet them. These 98 notes are the ones that actually appear across the OSMODI catalogue, with the number of fragrances carrying each one. Pick a note you already like and see every decant that uses it.

Citrus and aromatic

The opening minutes of a fragrance. Bright, volatile, and the first thing anyone standing near you notices.

Fruity

Juice and sweetness without going full dessert. Often what makes a scent read as young and easy to wear.

Spicy

Warmth and lift. A small amount of spice is what stops a sweet fragrance from turning flat.

Woody

The backbone. Woods carry a fragrance through the day and are where most of the longevity comes from.

Amber and resin

Deep, slightly sweet, faintly smoky. This is the family most people mean when they say a perfume smells expensive.

Gourmand

Edible notes. Comforting and very close to the skin, which is why they perform well in small doses.

Musk, leather and mossy

The base. Rarely the reason you buy a fragrance, usually the reason you keep reaching for it.
