Fragrance Storage and Care
Good storage cannot stop all change, but it can reduce avoidable exposure to heat, light and air.
Keep fragrance away from direct light
A drawer, cabinet or shaded shelf is generally more suitable than a sunny windowsill. Keep the bottle in its box if that is practical.
Avoid high heat and rapid temperature changes
Do not store fragrance beside a heater or in a hot vehicle. A stable indoor location is usually preferable to a humid bathroom with repeated temperature changes.
Close the bottle
Replace caps when provided and keep travel containers properly closed. Avoid unnecessary transfer between containers.
Keep the bottle upright
Upright storage reduces prolonged contact with the closure and can lower leak risk.
Watch for change
Color can deepen over time, especially in formulas with certain natural materials or vanilla-like components. A color change does not by itself prove the fragrance is unusable. A sharp change in smell, leakage or damaged packaging deserves closer review.
